Dixon Auto-Fed Part Placer / Presses
Dixon's auto-fed part placer/presses are a cost effective way to eliminate the
need for two separate stations. Piece parts can be pressed or staked at the
placement station thereby saving floor space and investment capitol. Press
Perfect® technology is employed to provide "good part" sensing.

Air Over Oil Auto-Fed Part Placer/Press
Dixon AO-700 Placer/Presses use an air/oil intensifier cylinder to place and press a wide range of piece parts. Parts are automatically oriented and fed into the placer/press by one of several styles of feed systems depending on the size and geometry of the piece parts. The Placer/Press has sensing features to assure positive placement of each piece part into the workpiece.

Toggle Placer Press
Dixon Placer/presses combine the placing and pressing operation into one motion. The placement head has a toggle action and provide up to 2500 pounds of pressing force (11.12kN). The pressing force increases rapidly during the last .50 inch (13mm) of placement stroke, this is ideal for short piece parts. A sensor indicates proper placement of the piece part.

Blow-Fed Part Presses
Dixon's Model AP-1000 Blow-Fed Part Placer/Press can be tooled to place and press cylindrical piece parts up to .59 inches (15mm) in diameter and up to 2.0 inches (50mm) in length via track feeding while components up to .43 inches (11mm) in diameter and up to 4.5 inches (114mm) in length can be blow fed. The Model AP-1000 has a standard stroke of 6 inches (152mm), and a pressing force of 1000 pounds (4.45 kN). The pressing force is determined by the diameter of the placement shaft (punch), and the length of stroke required for the pressing application. The Model AP-1000 can be purchased complete with a vibratory feed system, mounting structure, and interlocking controls. These components may be purchased separately or as a complete package.
