Dixon's Assembly Work Cells perform screwdriving, part placement, and pressing functions to meet a wide range of assembly applications. Each assembly work cell is equipped with one or more placement or driving heads, vibratory bowl feed system(s), and a manually loaded work holding fixture. The fixture may be programmed to index or rotate the workpiece under the part placement or driving head(s) to complete the assembly process. All Assembly Work Cells are operator friendly, with optional built-in-light curtains, ergonomic operator interfaces or cycle start switches, and programmable controls. Each cell is customized to provide optimum cycle rate efficiency, and to meet your assembly criteria. Please discuss your next assembly project with us for a cost-effective solution to the customer's assembly needs.
| Housing Assembly |
|
Assembly work cell completes two different stud and housing assemblies.
Six studs are driven into each housing. The assembly cell consists of a stud driver with a digital height readout, vibratory feed system, a thread locking liquid dispenser and reservoir, servo motor controlled indexing fixture with changeover tooling, light curtains, and programmable controls.

| Neutral Bars |
|
Assembly work cell drives screws into neutral bars.
The bars are manually placed into two indexing mechanisms, and pre-positioned under two driving heads at each threaded hole location. One vibratory feed system provides fasteners to both drivers. The programmable control allows the operator to select the proper placement or omission of fasteners into each bar during the driving operation.

| Electrical Sub-Assembly |
|
Assembly Work Cell drives up to nine fasteners into electrical sub-assemblies depending on the product variations being assembled.
Each fastener is driven to a specific torque setting. The electrical components are manually placed and unloaded from the Work Cell's fixture. The blow-fed driver has a pneumatic motor and vacuum tooling for a near zero clearance application within the sub-assembly. The Work Cell consists of a programmable controlled X-Y servo operated slide, operator panel and foot switch which starts the machine cycle.
