Track-Fed Part Placers
Place Perfect® Technology

Dixon's Product Group offers a number of standard and custom auto-fed part placers, including special pick & place part placing stations. Feed systems may vary with each part placer, due to the piece part size, weight, and geometry. Piece parts may be conveyed from the vibratory feed system to the placement head by hardened feed tracks, blow tube, or a magazine-type drop tube. All placement heads have sensing features that provide confirmation of proper placement of each piece part in the assembly process. Interlocking controls are selected to meet the requirements of each assembly application.

Model AP-107 Automatic Rotary Drum Fed Part Placer, Inclined Track, a two stage Transfer Escapement and Column. This Model is ideally suited to place headed cylindrical piece parts up to 25mm long.

Model AP-110 Automatic Track-Fed Part Placer complete with a Vibratory Feed System. The Feeder Bowls vary in size depending on the piece parts being fed. The Placing Heads are available with strokes up to 127mm with pressing forces up to 823N. Each piece part is pushed into the placement jaws by a shuttle escapement. The jaws hold the piece parts as they are inserted into the assembly by the placement tooling. Sensing features assure that proper placement of the piece part into the assembly has been completed.
